You Know You’re a Backstreet Boys Fan When…

…you screamed with delight and happiness when you saw the picture at the top of the page.

…you talk to someone who is 'neutral' about the BSB and by the end of the conversation they either love or hate the BSB, depending on how much you talked about them.

…your friends no longer think it's strange that you talk to your posters.

…your friends complain about the fact that you haven't had a conversation with them in two years that hasn't involved the Backstreet Boys!

… you don't have any friends anymore, due to the fact that you drove them insane by answering every question with "Howie", "AJ", "Kevin", "Nick", "Brian", or "KTBSPA!!!"

… your dad comes home with stories of humiliation at work - his workmates caught him singing "I'll Never Break Your Heart"!

… your parents know the lyrics to all their songs, know all the BSB's names, and their voices off by heart!

… you can't remember the colour of your bedroom walls coz they're wallpapered with BSB posters, or else all the blu-tak has pulled off all your paint!

… you can't remember what you and your friends used to talk about before the Backstreet Boys came into your life!

… you spend hours and hours on the internet going to every single BSB site you can find, and save EVERY single picture you find - even the ones off the pages that say NOT to! (Hee hee, no, we don't do that …:))

… every single phone call you make to your non-BSB-fan-friends consists constantly of one desperate question - "PLEASE, can you please just like the Backstreet Boys? Their world is soooo wonderful! Is there no way I can convert you to a BSB fan?!?"

… your grandma says to you at the Christmas party "Do you still like those Backstreet Boys?" (Groovy granny, hey?!)

… when you actually get that non-BSB-fan-friend to download "Heaven In Your Eyes"… and actually LIKE it! (that is amazing… but TRUE!!!)

… you spend $40 on magazines in one day, just to get BSB posters!

… you do the "Backstreet's Back" dance in the middle of the Woolworths car park.

… you and your friends (one of them being the non-BSB-fan-friend!) learn the "Backstreet's Back" dance and perform it at a school dance in front of EVERYONE, and you enjoy every moment of it!!!

… you get depressed when you hear that there is a hurricane hitting Florida, and all you can think, amidst everything else, is "God, don't let anything happen to the BSB!"

… your dad complains coz all he seems to find on the computer is Backstreet Boys stuff - including 40 something Mb of movies!

… you video-tape your birthday party, and all you can hear through the whole party is "As Long As You Love Me" blaring from the speakers.

… you suddenly start seeing so many black Jeeps and Toyota 4Runners driving around the place!

… you get your angry parents to drive recklessly after a poor kid on a skateboard because he looks kinda like Nick Carter (you realise later that he was actually about 5ft tall and 13 years old - doesn't really fit the description)

… you get your parents to buy a Christmas CD simply because it has one BSB song on it (it's worth it though!)

… you spend your free time making BSB web pages!

… you and your BSB friends have arguments about who is the biggest BSB fan.

… you and your friends start calling eachother Frick, Frack, and Sweet D (and your sister and her friend are Frick Jnr and Frack Jnr)

… before an exam, you and your friends gather around your BSB sticker album and place your hands on it for good luck! Or else you sit down and chant BSB songs!

… you wear your BSB ring around your neck everywhere, even to school (where jewellery is confiscated) and the teachers are respectful of the fact that you love the BSB so much, that they let you wear it!

… you and your friends celebrate each Backstreet Boys' birthday and Official BSB day!

… you feel honoured if they are having a concert on your birthday, even though it may be on the other side of the world!

… when you go on holidays, you take a poster and a framed picture of the BSB, just so you feel 'at home'.

… your parents go insane, because whenever you go anywhere in the car, you make them play your four BSB tapes of various songs over and over and over and over…..

… every single thing someone says requires you to inform them of something similar that happened to the Backstreet Boys

… you sign off every single email to your friends (or note, or anything else that requires you to 'sign off') with *~KTBSPA~ *

… you listen to what the beginning of a BSB concert sounds like over and over again because you've never seen them in concert and you like to pretend you're sitting in the seats, watching the concert…

… you're on the computer and whenever you go to type a word such as 'backstage' or 'back', you end up typing 'backstreet'

… the words "Backstreet Boys" are added to your AutoType thing on the computer for 'easy access'!

… you think its strange when magazines put the BSB's names beside them - "Doesn't everyone know which one is which?"

… you tape the videos "All I Have To Give" and "I'll Never Break Your Heart" 5 times in a row simply because its something Backstreet.

… not one day goes by without you listening to the BSB CDs. Not one day!

… you get confused when this conversation occurs between you and your mother… Mum: "What do you want for Xmas?" You: "The Backstreet Boys" Mum: "No, what do you really want?" You: "Didn't you hear me? BACKSTREET BOYS!!!" (What a stupid question to ask!!! Really, your mother should know better!)

… you keep half a can of Coke ready, just in case you see any of the BSBs (really, we are just stupid sometimes! We live in Australia! As if they would just suddenly turn up…:( )

… you see a picture of Brian when he is a little kid, and you realise he looks JUST like your little 2^nd cousin! (this is TRUE! We'll try to put up a picture of our cousin just to prove it - the resemblance is freaky!)

… your friends can guess when you're ten minutes away from their place - because they can hear the bass of "As Long As You Love Me" coz you've got it playing SOOOOO loud!

… when you and your sister are home alone, you make a mini-disco in your house by turning the speakers up as loud as they can go and pretend that you're at a concert

… you start shrieking when you find a pair of overalls - then you dress up like a BSB and walk around the house with a mike-head-set, pretending you’re a BSB

… you turn up at the Marist Halloween Dance dressed almost identically to Nick (as he looked in "Backstreet's Back")

… you listen to "Let the Music Heal Your Soul" and whenever you hear Brian, you shriek "BRIAN!"

… you see Christina Ricci on TV and have to restrain yourself from clawing the screen and screeching "I hate you!". Instead you just pull a sour face and leave the room.

… your mother says "I've just met this lovely girl. She likes the Backstreet Boys and she looks like Christina Ricci" and you say "There's not room on this earth for the two of us!"

… you put a poster of them on your lounge chair and ask them what they want for dinner. You make your sister get them something to drink and tell your dad to be nice to the… Backstreet Boys… erm poster. (Instead, he charges at the poster with a Stanley knife!)

… you get angry when you read anything slightly mean that a magazine says about them or one of their songs.

… your friend hangs up the phone on you because you wouldn't stop talking about the BSB

… you beg your parents to let you name your new cat "Carter"

… you write on exams "Abbey Carter" or "Nick Carter" without even thinking about it!

… you start to whimper when you notice a small tear on one of your beloved posters.

… you convince your parents to let the family go on holidays to a house which is on the river - just so you can see what its like to live kinda like the Carters.

… you can't choose a favourite Backstreet Boy because you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings!

… you collect Coke cans and Twix wrappers.

… your sister commends you on your poster collection - even though she has 100 more than you have. You are jealous of this!

…you go to say "Karla" and instead, you call her "Carter"

… you pretend to talk to the Backstreet Boys on the phone

… you make the phone ring, and tell your sister that it's Donna Wright, telling us that she is letting us meet the Backstreet Boys, and then you both get sad about the fact that its only make-believe!

… you cry when you hear "Heaven In Your Eyes"

… your sister tries to kill you when she reads the above line!!! (okay, so that’s a private joke lol)

…you cry till 3am in the morning (for a full 6.5 hours!!!!!!!!) because you know you'll never meet the BSB! (woah!)

… whenever you pass a basketball court you look out for the BSB, and end up hitting your head on the car window!

… you collect anything that has anything to do with the Backstreet Boys, even if it’s a magazine article that mentions them only in passing

… when you are driving to the coast, on your way past the pine-sorta forest, you look out for 5 guys dressed in white, blue and black (ie, that resemble the BSB in the "WGIGO" clip!) Then you start screeching when you see a Toyota 4Runner drive past!

… you live on McDonalds or pizza

… whenever you say "get down" your sister starts singing "and move it all around!" even if the moment is totally unrelated!

… you hate everyone who disses the BSB

… you despise 5ive, and yell at 5ive fans -they'll never be as good as the Backstreet Boys!

… you change your b'day to 28 January

… during an exam, all that the whole class can hear is someone humming "INBYH"… that someone happens to be you!

… you can put on Nick's voice whenever you feel like it - you automatically sing in a Nick voice when you're singing along to their music!

… you are ecstatic when you are able to get Howie's high notes!

… every password to everything that requires a password has something to do with the BSB

… you take a guess that everyone who is mean is someone who doesn't like the BSB - coz everyone who likes the BSB are really nice! :)

… you make your chat nicknames/hotmail account/username something to do with the BSB

… you sing BSB songs while your school principal says a speech (what got you started? Oh, he just said a word from one of their songs!)

… you do any assignment possible on the BSB, or else something to do with the BSB

… you laugh when someone mentions Puff Daddy, then start reciting : "Yeah, me and Puff go way back…""Yeah, Nick, Puff the Magic Dragon!"

… you are sitting quietly in your music class when suddenly you hear your sister's voice outside the room singing REALLLLLY loudly "INBYH". And everyone turns and smiles knowingly at you!

…your music teacher comes in singing "Backstreet's Back" and then explains to the class that she's just been marking your sister's BSB music assignment. And everyone smiles at you again!

… you teach yourself to play all the Backstreet Boys songs on the piano, guitar and cello

… you can switch from each Boy's harmony part without even thinking about it

… instead of saying 'anyway' or 'anyhow', you say "ANYHOWIES!"

… you send all your friends BSB postcards, just to say hi (virtual, or real, whatever is easier!)

… you try to imagine what it would be like to meet the BSB backstre… (whoops!) - backstage (obviously!) but can't get past the part where you faint!

… you have never fainted in your entire life, but know without a doubt that you will at the BSB concert.

…whenever you type a word that involves "ou" in it, you instantly try to type "Dorough"!!!

… you get jealous when your sister wears green… you threaten to cut up her green dress that she wears ALL the time (seriously Abbey, I only wear it coz it’s a comfy dress…!)

… you stress out at the thought of missing anything that might have the BSB on it

… you try typing "stress" (as written above) and end up typing "street"… TWICE!!!

… you wish on everything that requires a wish that you will one day meet the Backstreet Boys

… you start screaming uncontrollably when you try out the new Voice Type software (speaking in gibberish, mind you) and suddenly the line "Nick Carter" appears. You never even said it! You then tell yourself and everyone around you "IT'S A SIGN!!!"

… your sister is chatting to your cousin on ICQ and he says the BSB are on channel 13 … you run to the tv, then scream when you realise YOU DON'T HAVE CHANNEL 13! (he has pay tv) then you start running around in circles because there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!

… you whine to your parents that its "Not fair! America gets all the good shows and they ALL have the BSB on them!!!" Then you sulk.

… you memorise every single little fact about them that you can find!

… you memorise the number of Nick's house (you saw it in a photo) and make it your lucky number

… you save every single BSB movie you can find on the internet

… after you heard about Brian's heart surgery, every time you saw a picture of him, you would start whimpering and pray that he would be okay.

…you compare the BSBs height to your own just to prepare yourself in case you ever meet them

… you embarrass your mother in McDonalds by yelling in front of everyone "ARE YOU ASHAMED OF THE BACKSTREET BOYS?!?!"

… you beg for anything Backstreet Boys for Christmas… and you give them the option of "I want BSB CDs or a drum kit, or the BSB themselves under the tree would be good too!"

… you hate it when people call the Backstreet Boys 'boppy'. You explain calmly to the misguided people that the BSBs have their very own, very special unique sound, and no, they cannot be compared to Take That and Boyzone (how dare they!?!?!)

… you actually annoy your best friend with so much BSB info, that she stops liking the BSB as much as she used to! (she becomes a 5ive fan! ARGH! But on the bright side, she still listens to their CD! YAY! REJOICE!)

… you love it when you hear a BSB song on the radio… and you turn it up REALLY, REALLLLLLY loud!!!

… you pause the AIHTG video in the one spot just so you can see the close up of Nick

… you have a dream that Kevin is your best friend (alas, it was only a dream :( if only it could be true - Kevin would make a wonderful best friend, dontcha think?)

… you know most of the BSB's songs backwards and sing them… backwards!

… you can sing "INBYH" and "Anywhere for You" in Spanish (and even when you're singing the English version, you start singing it in Spanish out of habit!!!)

… you dream constantly about the BSB … even during class!

… you spend every day of your holidays watching BSB videos

…your entire computer is BSB orientated - that is, BSB wallpaper, screensaver etc…

…the only things on your IE "Favourites" list are BSB sites

… your dad bellows at you to "Quit Playin' Games With my ears!" (well, not really, but in a weird sort of way, yes!)

… you look up at one of your posters of them smiling at you and you say to them "What are you smiling at?!?"

… you now find it suddenly wonderful that you went to school with a Nic'h'olas Carter (well, um, his name was spelt 'Nic' as opposed to 'Nick', but anyHOWIES!!!)

… you have a folder of BSB stuff, (all in ONE folder) but there is so much stuff, that for it to be 'comfortable' you need about 3 more folders!

… you go through the phone book highlighting names that are relevant to the BSB (even though you live in Australia!!!)

… you start saying 'diss', 'wassup', 'peace', 'oh man' and other 'BSB words' that you never used to say before you became a fan!

… you feel envious of the fact that AJ is 'allowed' to dye his hair any colour that he wants and you aren't

… you are Capricorn. You compare yourself to AJ and realise that even though you are both the same star sign, you have completely different personalities (eg, shy : outgoing; female : male [like, duh!]; boring brown hair : colourful hair etc (okay, so hair isn't personality, whatever!)

… you whine because you remember watching the BSB on Saturday Disney when they came to Australia, and you are now kicking yourself for not taping it!!!

… you message everyone on ICQ whose name is AJ McLean, B-ROK, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough or Howie D, Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter, Frick, Frack, Sweet D, Train and Bone, in the hope that maybe one of them is the real whoever!!!

… you get reallly reallly reallllly excited whenever you see anything Backstreet in a shop (no matter what it is!!!)

… your favourite sentence is "Did you know that I love the Backstreet Boys?" and you say it at least once a day to every person you know

… your friends (and your sister's friends) comment on how much you look like Nick Carter and try to talk you into slicking your hair back and/or cutting it shorter so you look even MORE like Nick

… you visit the Official BSB site every day at least twice

… your desk is completely covered in papers about the BSB and pictures of them

… you end up with nicknames such as Kaosgal, Backstreet Girl, etc

… you form a band and try to convince that 5ive fan to sing Backstreet Boys songs in harmony with eachother. When she refuses, you sulk

… every single file saved on the computer has something to do with the Backstreet Boys

… you tell everyone that your favourite Playstation game is Tomb Raider III, even though you don't own a Playstation and you have never played that game

… you ask everyone you know if Nick's name is spelt "Nickolas" or "Nicholas" (that's cleared up now - we know its Nickolas!)

… whenever your friends come over you make them watch all your Backstreet videos (including the tape of 'AIHTG' and 'INBYH' taped over and over again!)

… you download every single song the BSB have ever recorded and tape them all onto cassettes so you can take the BSB spirit everywhere you go

… you try to imagine what Nick's toothbrush looks like (after it was mentioned in passing in an article on Aaron!)

… you recite the sentence "880 7000, area code 407" "What's that number again Nick?" "880 7000, area code 407 - remember to get your parent's permission first" over and over again

… your school diary is filled with pictures of the BSB

… the printer ran out of coloured ink after you printed out close to 150 colour pics of them

… no matter what you talk about, or what you are doing, not a moment passes when the BSBs aren't in the back of your mind

… you start a class discussion, trying to get people to guess what KTBSPA stands for

… you sign everyone's yearbook with something to do with the Backstreet Boys, and sign the Boys names as well!

… you can do their signatures!

… a person in a cartoon on TV reminds you of Nick coz he's got blond hair

… practically every guy you see, you mutter to yourself "Carter Cut" coz he's got a haircut like Nick's

… you get angry if you go to a BSB page and someone mentions something bad about one of the BSBs… you vow never to return to their site

… your friends come to school screeching "BAD NEWS! The Backstreet Boys are splitting up!!!" and you get flustered and start yelling "no, it has to be a rumour! Where did you hear that? Who told you that? It's not true! It can't be true!" and then you all sit depressed during history (when you find out the next day that it WAS a rumour, you all rejoice and sing BSB songs)
